Tyrifjord Hotel follows the Norwegian Health Authorities and the Norwegian Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Associations guidelines and recommendations with regards to health and safety guidelines and enhanced cleaning routines.
Enhanced cleaninG
- The housekeeping staff pay extra attention to cleaning areas such as bathrooms, restrooms, common areas, hair dryers, keys, door handles, light swithches, remote controls, card terminals and other electrical appliances.
- Hand sanitizer is available throughout the hotels common areas, restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and restrooms. Disposable gloves are available from the reception upon request.
- All tables and chairs in our restaurant are cleaned at a high frequency, and after each seating. All menus are currently disposable and changed after each guest, salt, pepper and condiments are served in individual, preportioned sachets.
- Housekeeping staff use a new pair of disposable gloves for the cleaning of each room which are then disposed of and a new set of cleaning cloths is utilised for the cleaning of each room. When possible rooms are not let out again for a minimum of 24 hours or longer after cleaning.
Physical distanciNG
- We have limited the numbers of seats in our restaurant, meeting rooms and public areas so that are guests may maintain a minimum distance of 1 metre to each other.
- Physical distancing is communicated clearly upon reservation of both table and meeting room reservations.
- Throughout the hotels common ares you will find signs reminding our guests and team members to maintain a distance.
Revised food & beverage offeringS
- We provide the possibility for an individually packaged breakfast and room service directly to guest rooms or takeaway.
- The traditional breakfast buffet has been adapted in light of the current situation. A full range of cold cuts, cheese, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt, jam etc are individually prepacked, juice, tea and coffee are available and hot items such as eggs and bacon are served directly to the guests table.
- A limited range of snacks are available from the reception.
- All buffetservice is adapted to plated service.
- The number of seats in our restaurant are limited to maintain physical distancing.
- Hand sanitizer is available throughout the hotels common areas, restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and restrooms. Disposable gloves are available from the reception upon request.
- Particularly exposed areas, such as payment terminals and menu cards are cleaned or disposed of between guests.
- Table service applies to all meals other than breakfast.
- Tables are positioned to make sure guests can maintain a distance of at least 1 metre from each other.
- Tables and chairs are cleaned after each seating.
Conferences and meetings
- The capacity of the conference facilities determines how many participants can attend the conference. There must be at least 1 metre between individual participants. We can also assist with equipment for video conferences or video transmission upon request.
- To ensure that guidelines on distancing, and disease and infection control, are followed, hosts need to provide a complete guest list, including contact information of all the participants, to the hotel in advance.
- Tables, chairs, door handles and other surfaces are thoroughly cleaned before and after conferences.
- Hand sanitizer is available for use at the entrance and in all communal areas, both inside and outside the conference room.
- There are posters to inform people about infection control, e.g. to stay at least 1 metre away from other people.
- Tables and chairs are spaced out, so that conference guests can maintain a distance of at least 1 metre from other participants.
- Frequently used areas and surfaces are regularly cleaned during conferences. We are extra careful with items and surfaces that are touched frequently, e.g. technical equipment, coffee stations and door handles.
- Food service either inside or outside the conference rooms is provided in accordance with current regulations and recommendations from the Norwegian Health Authorities.
- All food items during coffee breaks are individually prepacked.

- Guest that are not pre-booked, attending a conference, or staying with us are kindly asked to register their visit upon arrival using the QR code available at the reception.
- We kindly request that guest postpone their visit and stay at home if feeling unwell.
